Mangaluru, Mar 06, 2021: For the benefit of candidates appearing for Army Recruitment rally being held at Thiruvananthapuram, Southern Railway will operate special trains between Mangalore Junction and Thiruvananthapuram Central on and from 6thMarch to 12th of March 2021 .
Train No.06039/06040 Mangalore Junction - Thiruvanathapuram Central – Mangaluru Junction Unreserved Special trains
Train No.06039 Mangaluru Junction - Thiruvananthapuram Central Unreserved Special train will leave Mangalore Junction at 20.05 hrs on 6th, 8th 10th and 12th of March 2021 and reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 08.30 hrs the next day.
Train No.06040 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Mangaluru Junction Unreserved Special train will depart from Thiruvananthapuram Central on 7th, 9th and 11th of March 2021 at 20.00 hrs and reach Mangaluru Junction at 09.30 hrs the next day.
Composition: 18 General Second Class coaches and Two Luggage-cum-Brake Vans
Train No.06601/06602 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Mangaluru Junction – Thiruvananthapuram Central Unreserved Special trains
Train No. 06601 Thiruvanathapuram Central – Mangaluru Junction Unreserved Special train will depart from Thiruvananthapuram Central on 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th of March 2021 at 20.00 hrs and reach Mangaluru Junction at 09.30 hrs the next day.
Train No. 06602 Mangaluru Junction - Thiruvananthapuram Central Unreserved Special train will leave Mangaluru Junction at 20.05 hrs on 7th, 9th and 11th of March 2021 and reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 08.30 hrs the next day.
Composition : Twelve Sleeper coaches, Six General Second Class coaches and Two Luggage-cum-Brake Vans.
The detailed timings and stoppages of the above Unreserved Special trains is given below:
Unreserved ticketing counters will be opened at Thiruvananthapuram Central and Mangalore Junction and at other railway stations where these train services have stoppage enroute, exclusively to facilitate purchase of tickets for army aspirants. These unreserved ticket counters will be opened one hour in advance of the scheduled departure of the special trains. Tickets will be issued only to the candidates appearing for Army Recruitment Rally on production of admit cards and necessary documentation. Fares as applicable for 2nd Class Mail/Express will be charged.
Passengers are requested to follow all the mandatory COVID safety protocols such as wearing of masks, social distancing and co-operate with Railways in regulating crowds at stations.
