Uppinangady, September 10, 2024: One person died and two others were injured in a collision between a car and a container lorry near Kempuhole on Shiradi Ghat road on September 9, Monday evening.
The deceased is Chandregowda (50) of Hassan. Chinnegowda (31) and Sheela (40) who were travelling in the car were injured and rushed to hospital.
The car was on way to Hassan from Mangaluru when it rammed into the oncoming container. The impact of the collision was such that the car took a u-turn and collided with another car that was behind. Those in the other car escaped with minor injuries.
