Uppinangady: Man robbed of Rs 10 lakh cash bag

Uppinangady, Mar 22, 2023: A bag containing a cash of Rs 10 lakhs was snatched from a person by a stranger at Rifainagar in Pedamale-Saralikatte of Ilantila village on March 20 afternoon.
Mohammad K of Ilantila village was carrying the cash to purchase jewellery for his daughter’s marriage and was placing the cash bag underneath the seat of his two-wheeler when a stranger rushed and grabbed the bag and fled the place. Though Mohammad chased the thief for a distance, the latter managed to give him a slip.
A complaint has been lodged at Uppinangady police station.
