Urimajalu Ram Bhat cremated with full state honours

Puttur, Dec 07, 2021: Urimajalu K Ram Bhat, senior BJP leader and former MLA of Puttur, was cremated at the Madivalakatte crematorium of the town on December 7, Tuesday with full state honours in the presence of a large number of party leaders, workers and admirers. Bhat (92) passed away on Monday due to age related ailments.

Earlier, Bhat’s mortal remains were placed at the Vivekananda College premises for the public to pay their last respects. It was taken in a decorated vehicle to this place from his residence at Kombettu.

State BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel, former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda, Minister Srinivas Poojary, RSS leader Dr Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat, MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor, former MLAs Shakuntala Shetty, Vasanth Bangera, former MLC Ganesh Karnik and others paid their last respects to the departed leader.
