Puttur, July 27, 2023: A case has been registered against the Puttila Parivar in Puttur town police station for taking out a victory march on the main streets of the town to celebrate the victory of its candidate in the Aryapu gram panchayat bye election.

The elections were held on July 23 and Subrahmanya Balyaya, the Puttila Parivar backed candidate won from Aryapu while the party backed candidate lost by a slender margin in Nidpalli.

Soon after the results were announced, the Puttila Parivar took out a procession from near the Puttur administration complex till the office of the party. There was even a DJ system as part of the procession which was taken out without police permission.

In this backdrop a public peace disruption case has been registered against the party.
