Vittal, January 23, 2025: In a freak mishap, a drone which went out of control of its operator hit the head of a priest during the Vittal Panchalingeshwara temple car festival on Wednesday.

The drone was used to videograph the car festival and it came closer to the priest who was standing near the chariot and hit his head. Luckily, by this time, the chief priest carrying the idol of the Lord  had already ascended the chariot. Still, the chief priest seemed a bit shocked by the sudden development but soon regained his composure.

 Thousands had converged for the car festival when this incident took place and many were heard expressing anguish against the drone operator.
