Fernandes, who has been passionate about writing since childhood, is the first young author to explore this significant topic. Her work examines how the youth have contributed to India’s past and present and their impact on the country’s future. She emphasizes the importance of young people engaging in various fields with a shared goal of national development during what is known as the "Amrit Kaal," a period marking 75 years of independence and the ongoing journey toward a century of freedom.

A Tribute to a Hero

Fernandes dedicates her latest book to her grandfather, Sgt. Alex Monis Moodbidri, who served in the Indian Air Force for 36 years. He participated in major conflicts, including the latter phase of World War II, the Indo-China Conflict of 1962, the Indo-Pak Conflict of 1965, and the Indo-Pak War of 1971. This tribute adds a personal touch to the book, acknowledging the legacy of service and dedication in her family.

Endorsements and Previous Work

The foreword for BHARAT @2047 - Role of Youth is penned by Sri Rajesh Padmar, a renowned lecturer, author, and thinker from Bengaluru, who commends Fernandes for her inspiring thoughts and ideas aimed at the youth.

Fernandes’ first book, Essays on Collective Topics, was also well-received, establishing her as a promising voice in contemporary literature. Her literary achievements have earned her numerous accolades, including the Rabindranath Tagore Literature Award and the Bharatiya Sahitya Sanmaan from the Dawn Research and Development Council, among other prestigious honors.

A Promising Future

Born to Ronald and Nancy Fernandes, both educators who have significantly influenced her literary journey, Reshel Bretny Fernandes completed her schooling at DPS MRPL Mangalore and PU studies at Ladyhill PU College. She graduated from Sri Mahavira College and is currently pursuing an LLB at SDM Law College Mangalore. Additionally, she has completed a BA in Hindi from Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Madras.
