Mangaluru: July, 14: A 25 year old jumped into Netravati River from the bridge to commit suicide and was rescued by nearby youth on Tuesday July 14.

The youth has been identified as Dinesh(25) resident of Sidakatte.

It is learnt that, Dinesh was walking on the railway track and suddenly jumped off the bridge in a bid to commit suicide. The youngsters who were watching his act immediately jumped to save his life and got him to the side of the river.

The exact reason behind the extreme step is not known.
A case has been registered at local police station.
