Suvrath Kumar, state convener of Youth against Corruption, said in his protest address that P. Chidambaram, the union home minister must be arrested for his involvement in the 2G Spectrum scam.

Speaking on the occasion, Deviprasad Shetty alleged that corrupt government officials, politicians, businessmen, and industrialists have stashed away more than Rs. 400 lakh crore in Swiss banks. He also suggested that the Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes must be cancelled to prevent corruption in the country. Voicing his opinion on price hike, he said that the government’s economic policy not only puts common people in trouble, but also encourages corruption.

The protestors demanded that the central government must retrieve funds stashed into Swiss banks by unscrupulous and wealthy Indians.

They even submitted a memorandum to the union government urging it to pass a resolution in Parliament to bring back Indian money from Swiss banks.
