16-year-old dies of drowning

Moodbidri, Apr 3,2012 : Denzil Preetham Lobo (16), the son of Denis and Philomena Lobo of Gantalkatte, died of drowning in River Phalguni at Devaragundi.

The teenager was playing with his friends on the banks of the river when he lost his balance and fell into the water. Since he did not know how to swim, he was swept away by the current.

Although his friends shouted for help, he could not be saved because it was too late when help arrived.
