2 Keralites convicted in case of murder of police jeep driver; attack on cop

Kundapur, Mar 6, 2015 :  Two persons  from Kottayam in Kerala were convicted  by the District Additional Fast Track Court here on March 5, Thursday in a case pertaining to  the murder of a police jeep driver and attempt to kill a circle inspector. The incident was reported four years ago.

 

The convicts are Rajesh Nair and Raghu Nambiar.  If Raghu, the prime accused has been sentenced to life imprisonment till death for the murder, the other convict Rajesh  has been sentenced to five years of imprisonment apart from a fine of Rs 10,000 of attempting to kill the police officer. The court has also sentenced the duo to an additional two years of rigorous imprisonment for  coming in the way of the cops  from performing their duty.
