The deceased individuals have been identified as Subbanna Ganiga, a first-class assistant at the Udupi DDPI office and Soma Shekhar, a physical education teacher at Indira Nagar School in Udupi.

Sudarshan, another teacher, suffered severe injuries, while Satish, who was driving the car, was also admitted to Manipal Hospital.

The severity of the accident made it challenging to extricate the car, which had become lodged in the front portion of the bus. Since there were no ambulances available at the scene, Pramod, a passerby, generously accommodated all four individuals in his car and rushed them to Hebri Government Hospital.

Tragically, two of the victims succumbed to their injuries before receiving emergency treatment.
