3 women lose gold chains during Navaratri festivities

Mangaluru, October 15, 2024: Three women who had been to the Navaratri festival at Mangaladevi Temple in the city, have lodged complaint regarding the theft of their gold chain. Cases have been registered in Pandeshwar police station.

A woman named Leela lost her gold chain weighing six sovereigns on October 11, while Kamalakshi lost her chain weighing three sovereigns. Another woman Meenakshi has lost her gold chain weighing 4 sovereigns.

The value of the stolen chains has been estimated at Rs 4 lakhs.
