34th Dasara celebrations begins at Shree Kudroli Gokarnatheshwara Kshetra

Mangalore, Oct 15, 2023: The grand inaugural ceremony of the 34th Dasara celebrations at Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple attracted large number of devotees on October 15, Sunday.

Pradeep Kumar Panja, president of Karnataka Bank in the presence of veteran Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary inaugurated the Navaratri celebrations by ligthing the traditional lamp placed in front of idol of Sharada Devi.

Besides, the idol of Navadurga, including Shaila Putri, Brahmacharini, Chandra Ghanta, Kushmaandini, Skandaputhri, Katyayini, Kaalaratri, Maha Gauri and Sidhidaathri were installed.

MLA Vedavyasa Kamath, Mayor Sudheer Shetty Kannur, HS Sairam, president of the temple management committee, Urmila Ramesh, vice-president of the committee, R Padmaraj, treasurer of the committee, Harikrishna Bantwal and others were present during the formal inauguration ceremony.
