4 young drivers booked for rash, negligent driving

Kaup, May 24, 2023: Police have registered cases against four young drivers on the charges of driving their cars recklessly on the National Highway 66 thereby endangering the lives of other drivers and motorists.

Those booked are Ayan (24) of Udyavar Guddeyangady, Mishalvuddin (23) of Kunjibettu, Shanoon D’Souza (25) of Udupi and Vivek of Kodanthur.

On May 23, Kaup PSI Suma received a call from a person who informed her about the reckless driving of three cars and a jeep and also the viral video regarding this.

Police who immediately swung into action, took cognizance of the videos and after noting down the numbers, as per the directions of SP Akshay Machindra, the police took the four vehicles into custody and booked the drivers.
