8 arrested for illegal sand transportation

Mangaluru, Sep 17, 2022: Acting on a complaint filed by the Chief Officer of Kotekar Panchayat, police have arrested eight persons and have seized two pick-up vehicles on  the charges of illegal sand transportation. The  action was taken based on the CCTV footages of a camera installed near Vijaya Bank at Talapady.

 

Those arrested are  Pankaj (24), Ramdhari (28), Rajesh (50), Raghunatha (40), Aboobakker (53), Riyaz (29), Atul (22) and Muttalib alias Muttali (40) from Talapady.
