8 kg of marijuana seized from couple in Kundapura

Kundapura, Nov 3, 2024: A couple accused of illegally storing and selling marijuana at their home was arrested by the Kundapura Rural Police today in Udaya Nagar, Gulwadi village.

The accused, Nazarulla Khan (40) and his wife Fatima (33), residents of Udaya Nagar, were found in possession of 8 kg 374 grams of marijuana worth a total of Rs 6,43,000.

Acting on information that the couple was storing marijuana at home with the intent to sell, a police team led by Kundapura Rural Police Sub-Inspector Bhimashankar S. Sanganna, along with SI Nuthan D., and personnel Soor Naik, Raju B., Vikram, Manjunath, Ramesh, Kishan Gowda, Shobha, Nayana, and Rama, conducted a raid and arrested the suspects. A case has been registered at the Kundapura Rural Police Station.
