Mangalore, Jan 21, 2014 : In a rather queer development, the wife of Cyanide Mohan, the serial killer who has been sentenced to death, is reportedly in a relationship with an accused in a counterfeit currency racket case who is now out on bail. Here one has to believe that it is a mobile conversation that actually blossomed love between the two.
Here goes the interesting case. Mohan Kumar who has allegedly killed over 20 young women and has been convicted in three cases, had never used a cell phone while at work. But while in jail, he had on several occasions spoken to his beloved third wife Sridevi. What is more interesting is that he had used the cell phone of his jail mate Santosh Shettigar, an accused in a fake currency case.
Sridevi who was fond of Mohan and used to often visit the prison to meet him and offer him food, even used to speak to her husband over Shettigar’s phone.
Though mobile phones are banned inside the prison, it is a fact that under trials use cell phones to speak to their near and dear ones. Accordingly, Mohan was using Shettigar’s cell phone to speak to his wife. Santosh who made use of the opportunity had saved Sridevi’s number.
Four months ago, when he was released on bail, he had immediately contacted Sridevi. On coming to know that she owned 42 cents land at Derlakatte where several educational institutions were located,he convinced the lady to sell the land.He acted as a broker and they sold the land for as much as a crore.
Since then the two have been living together after purchasing a flat and Santosh is also engaged in finance business near the bus stand in the city. Now that the court has sentenced Cyanide Mohan to death, both are planning to get the official stamp of approval to their relationship.
In fact this Shettigar is also an already married man but his wife has divorced him and is presently residing abroad.
Cyanide Mohan’s first wife is from Shiradi, while his second wife hailed from Uppala. The third wife is Sridevi of Derlakatte. Though the two were in good terms, the mobile phone has now spoilt their relationship and Sridevi has now completely forgotten her killer husband. After all, it’s the magic of cell phone and money power.
