A midnight “Pretha Uchhatane” ritual at Abbakkanagar, Kottara arouses curiosity!

Mangaluru, January 30, 2025: In an unusual and rare event, the road at Abbakkanagar near Kottara was closed for vehicular movement on Wednesday night in an initiative by the locals themselves for a ritual that is termed “Pretha Uchhatane” or expulsion of evil spirits.

According to local residents, the Abbakkanagara area was experiencing paranormal disturbances following which a Tambula Prashne was placed and as per the answer received, a Darshana Seve and Pretha Uchhatane ritual was held on Wednesday night. The road was closed during the ritual for the safety of the public.
