Mangaluru, Sept 18, 2023: Abhinava Halashree Swamiji, the 3rd accused of Hindu activist Chaitra Kundapura gang, has been arrested by CCB Police in Odisha in connection with the fraud case of 5 crore rupees to give an MLA ticket from BJP to a businessman of Byndur.
Halashree Swamiji, who was the main accused in this fraud case, was absconding due to fear of arrest. Thus he sought anticipatory bail. But the court adjourned the hearing of his application to September 19, CCH 57 Court, Bangalore.
Swamiji went missing last week just as Chaitra was arrested in Kundapur. The third accused in the case, Abhinava Halashree of Vijayanagar district, was arrested today (September 19) in Cuttack, Odisha.
Halashree Swamiji was traveling from Bhubaneswar to Bodh Gaya by train near Cuttack today (Tuesday). This time, CCB police arrested him. CCB Police succeeded in arresting Halashree with the cooperation of Odisha Police and will bring him to Bangalore tonight (September 19). Also, we have to wait and see who the big ones are.
