Absconding accused wanted in 24 cases, arrested

Mangaluru, October 16, 2024: A man wanted in as many as 24 cases and was absconding since a year has been arrested by the police.

The accused is Mohammad Abdul Yan (27) of Manjanady. He faces cases in Ullal, Kadaba, Konaje, Puttur, Bantwal, Uppinangady and Barke police stations. He had not appeared before the court and was also evading arrest for over a year.

The Konaje police who acted on a tip-off arrested him near Manjeshwar.
