Hearing public grievances in this regard at a meeting held at RTO office held on January 8, Tuesday, the RTO said the  permits of those buses which failed to operate  will be cancelled and fresh permits will be issued to new buses.
During the meeting, the RTO was requested to immediately revoke the order  of reducing the trips of three government buses operating on the Mudipu route. Several other demands including  permission to run private or government buses  in the area, were placed before the RTO.
The RTO said it was difficult to revoke the orders to cut the tips of government  buses. If the cut in trips is inconveniencing the people, then the  timings of the buses would be changed to reduce inconvenience, the RTO promised.
On this occasion, Mallikarjuna said though the RTO  had received hundreds of applications to permit private and government city buses on the Panambur-Talapady route, the same cannot be approved considering the high density of traffic on the route.
The meeting was attended by MLA UT Khader, ZP member Santosh Kumar Rai,  social activist Hanumanth Kamath, Chandrahas R Karkera and others.
