Mangaluru, September 28, 2024: Mr. Anand G. Pai of Bharath Beedi Group has been elected the President of KCCI at the 84th Annual General Meeting of Kanara Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mangaluru held on Friday, the  27th of September, 2024 along with other Office-bearers and Directors of the Board for the year 2024-25.

The Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has elected Anand G. Pai as its new President, leading the apex body of trade and industry in coastal Karnataka. Brief note of the incoming President, Shri Anand G. Pai Shri Anand G. Pai is the Executive Director of, M/s Bharath Beedi Works Private Limited, Mangalore. He started his Professional career through his family business and took charge of Strategic Planning and Diversification of Bharath Group. He completed schooling in Mangalore. He graduated as Industrial Production Engineer from Andrews University Michigan, U.S.A. and later pursued Masters in Software Engineering from the same University.

In his inaugural address to the members, Anand G. pai said that KCCI’s strength is its members. We have to work in our fullest capacity to make sure we address any grievances they have and always be their support.

There are a lot of initiatives that have been started by our past presidents and he is of the same opinion and would like to take it further. Socio-economic growth is the key focus and we have to make our city more conducive for businesses to start. We should promote manufacturing and IT set ups. Give  boost to tourism- beach, medical, and religious tourism. We have a big pool of talent which we lose after they finish their education and we should work towards retaining them in Mangaluru. For this we need to create opportunities and to create opportunities, we have to make sure newer entrepreneurs come forward, and we should encourage them and be their support.

While trying to achieve all this, we also need to look at a growth, which is sustainable. The city should provide proper infrastructure with all basic civic amenities, and for this, we have to closely work with all the departments in synchronisation. Together we all have to work and build Brand Mangaluru and he seeks everyone’s support in this.

KCCI extends its heartfelt gratitude for the continuous  support of its members, stakeholders, and the media. They eagerly anticipate active participation and comprehensive coverage of all the Chamber’s programmes and initiatives throughout the upcoming year.
