Another case of serial theft in city

Mangalore Aug 28, 2011: Megha Electronics and Ganesh Electronics located in Attavar and Marnamikatte, respectively, as well as a cyber centre in Marnamikatte, were broken into on the night of Aug 27 Saturday. The owners discovered the theft on the morning of Aug 28 Sunday.

 

 

 

 

Handsets and Rs. 1 lakh have been stolen. The police arrived at the shops with sniffer dogs and fingerprint experts and the search is going on.

Although nothing has been stolen at the cyber centre, thieves have entered and ransacked the place. The loss at the cyber centre is yet to be estimated.

Bharthi, the SI of Pandeshwar, rushed to the spot. This is the third serial theft reported in the city, owing to which the police feel that the same gang is involved in these thefts. The people of Mangalore, especially traders and shopkeepers, are worried.

So far, police investigations have revealed nothing, but citizens have been asked to remain alert.
