Balakrishna Poojary murder case: HC grants bail to accused

Karkala, April 3, 2025: The State High Court has granted bail to Dilip Hegde (28), the prime accused in the case of murder of Balakrishna Poojary in Ajekar.

Hegde’s bail plea was earlier rejected on March 4 by the Udupi Second Additional District and Sessions Court. Following this the bail plea was submitted before the High Court.

The murder took place on October 20, 2024. Balakrishna was reportedly murdered by his wife in collusion with her alleged lover Dilip Hegde. Both were arrested on October 25.
