Bantwal: 3 dead in landslide in Panjikallu

Bantwal, July 07, 2022: The death toll in the landslide on a shed in which labourers were residing in Panjikallu village,  has risen to three. The incident had occurred on Wednesday night when a hill caved in all of a sudden.

While one person named Viju (46) of Palakkad had died  soon after the landslide, another labourer Santosh Alappuza (46)  and Babu (46) of Kottayam who were hospitalised have succumbed without responding to treatment.

Another labourer John (44)  has been admitted to Bantwal Government Hospital.

A total of five labourers who were working in the rubber plantation of Henry Carlo of Mukkuda in Panjikallu were staying in the shed.
