Bantwal: Cops arrest 4 for wearing footwear while entering Karinja Temple

Bantwal, Nov 4, 2021: Punjalakatte police have arrested four persons on the charges of wearing footwear while entering the Sri Karinjeshwara Temple at Karinja.

Those arrested are Basheer Rehman (20), Ismail,  Muhammad Tanish (19) and Muhammad Rashad (19). All the four are residents of Ullal area.

It is alleged that the accused not only entered the shrine wearing footwear but had also made a video of the same and had circulated it in social media.

The Temple management board had complained against this at the Punjalakatte police station.
