Bantwal: Speeding car fatally knocks down elderly woman sitting outside son’s shop

Bantwal, February 25, 2025: An elderly woman who was sitting outside her son’s grocery store at a place called Paledamara here lost her life after a speeding car which went out of control of its driver knocked her down.

The incident took place on February 23. The deceased is Sumathi (91). Her son Manjunath runs a grocery store and she was sitting on a chair outside the store when tragedy struck.

The car which was heading towards Vamadapadavu was driven by a woman named Shobha. The injured elderly woman was rushed to the hospital where she breathed her last. The accident was caught on CCTV camera and the forage of the same has gone viral.

Punjalakatte police have registered a case.
