Belagavi girl found murdered in relative’s house at Jokatte

Mangaluru, August 7, 2024: A girl of Belagavi origin was found strangled to death with a cloth in a rented house near a bhajana Mandir at Jokatte on Tuesday.

The girl was staying at her uncle Hanumantha’s house after availing treatment for a hand injury. Hanumantha who is a labourer had left for work as usual on Tuesday and his son studying in eighth standard too had gone to school while Hanumantha’s wife was away at her hometown. The girl was alone at her house.

When her mother in Belagavi rang up a neighbor to speak to her, the neighbor arrived at Hanumantha’s house only to find the girl dead.

Investigations are in progress.
