Beltangady, Apr 6, 2025: Shraddha Shetty, a young student from Eninje in Laila village of Beltangady taluk, has made her mark in the India Book of Records for creating the largest flower rangoli, earning recognition for her creativity and dedication to traditional art.
Using a vibrant mix of flowers such as kangulabi, jasmine, kesari, and yellow marigolds, Shraddha crafted an 8-foot-wide rangoli in just 1 hour and 40 minutes. Her impressive work, completed with precision and artistic flair, drew widespread appreciation.
While the record was officially confirmed on February 3, 2025, Shraddha received the official certificate only on April 4, prompting celebrations in her family and community.
Currently pursuing her BSc at SDM College, Shraddha expressed her delight over the recognition. “It is a proud moment to represent traditional flower art on such a prestigious platform,” she said.
Her achievement is being hailed as a tribute to the region’s rich cultural heritage and a source of inspiration for young artists across the district.
