Belthangady: 4 arrested for cattle smuggling

Belthangady, October 4, 2024: Police who busted a cattle smuggling racket have arrested four persons on Thursday night. Five cows and two pick-up vehicles were seized.

Those arrested are Yatindra (24) of Periyadka, Aravinda (30) of Totattady, Usman (36) of Charmady and Arif (27) of Chibidre.

The Belthangady police launched the operation following a tip off that cattle was being smuggled in a vehicle on the Elaneeru Didupe road. Two pick-up vehicles were intercepted and checked when it came to light that the cattle was being smuggled without any valid permission.
