Belthangady: Lorry transporting iron scrap without permission seized

Belthangady, December 21, 2024: A lorry that was transporting iron scrap without any permission was seized by Commercial Tax Department officials.

The lorry driver Raju G of Chikkamagalur escaped soon after the lorry was intercepted by the officials. The vehicle has been handed over to the custody of Belthangady police.

The lorry was proceeding towards Belthangady from Guruvayanakere when it was intercepted. The driver had failed to produce relevant documents and gave the cops a slip.

Commercial Tax Department has registered a case and is investigating.
