Belthangady: Man drowns while fishing

Belthangady, October 14, 2024: A man who had stepped into a river for fishing at Neriya in Belthangady taluk, has drowned on Sunday night.

The deceased is Shivakumar of Totattady. He had been to the river banks  near an estate in Neriya on Sunday when he reportedly drowned. Following a search, the body was found late in the night.

A case has been registered in Dharmasthala police station.
