Belthangady: Thieves target 2 houses; steal 24 sovereigns gold jewellery

Belthangady, May 23, 2024: Thieves who targeted two houses at Palke in Thenka Karandur village have  decamped with 24 sovereigns of jewellery.

 

In the first incident, thieves barged into the house of Prema Shetty by breaking open the back door and have stolen jewellery weighing 20 sovereigns and a bag of documents after breaking open the cupboard. The family members were reportedly sleeping near the cupboard when the theft took place.

In another theft in a house that was located a little away, thieves have stolen jewellery weighing four sovereigns. The family members were away for a Bhootha Kola when the theft took place.
