Bethany Congregration pays tribute to Founder Msgr RFC Mascarenhas

Mangalore Dec 22, 2012: Hundreds of people attended a mass organized at the St Sebastian Church, Bendore in Mangalore on December 22, Saturday on the occasion of the 52nd death anniversary of Msgr Raymond F C Mascarenhas, the Founder of Bethany Congregation. Fr Denis Moraes Prabhu led the mass along with other priests.

 

 

Speaking on the occasion, Fr Moraes described Msgr Raymond FC Mascarenhas as a great visionary  who gave an impetus to  educational revolution by stressing on establishing schools in rural areas with a thrust on education of the girl child.

Students and teachers of St Teresa School were also present on the occasion and offered tributes to the portrait of Msgr Mascarenhas. Sr M Wilberta BS, Superior General, Sr M Lillis BS and others were present.
