Bolur ward corporator Jagadish Shetty attempts suicide; hospitalized

Mangaluru, Jan 05, 2024: Bolur ward corporator and BJP leader Jagadish Shetty has attempted suicide on January 4 Thursday. The reason behind his suicide attempt is not yet known.

 

He had reportedly consumed poison by sitting inside his car in front of a private hotel near State Bank. Locals and police who noticed this, immediately broke the car window glass and shifted him to hospital.

Presently he is being treated at the ICU of a private hospital. MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Mayor Sudhir Shetty Kannur, Chief Whip Premanand Shetty and others have visited the hospital.

Shetty is a first time corporator from Bolur and actively participated in MCC meetings. Also a singer, he has great concern for special children and has also been active in the development of the Sanidhya Special Children’s School.
