Book chronicling 50 years of Tulu film industry, released

Mangaluru, Feb 28, 2023: "Tulu Belli Tereya Suvarna Yana" a book chronicling the  50 years of Tulu film industry, authored by renowned Tulu theatrical personality Tamma Lakshmana was released by eminent scholar and writer Prof B A Viveka Rai at a ceremony held at Town Hall on February 27, Monday.

Mangalore University Vice Chancellor Prof P S Yadapadittaya presided over the function and lauded the efforts put in by Tamma Lakshmana in bringing out the  book.

Dr Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation hoped the Tulu film industry would shine much more in the years to come.

Karnataka Bank Managing Director Mahabaleshwara M S was present as a chief guest. Eminent film director Richard Castelino, Ram Shetty, Dr Sanjeeva Dandakeri and T A Srinivas were felicitated on the occasion.

A ’Suvarna Tulu Chitramala’ documentary on the Tulu films of the past 50 years, was screened on the occasion.
