Brahmavar: Stolen idols from temple found near stream

Brahmavar, March 13, 2025: The idols which were stolen from the Sri Rama Mandir of the Kalmargi Ramanjaneya Seva Trust in Shiriyara village of Brahmavar taluk were traced on the banks of a stream on Wednesday morning.

The theft was noticed on Wednesday morning when the priest had arrived for the morning pooja. The thieves had broken open the sanctum sanctorum and had decamped with the idols of Rama, Seetha, Lakshmana and Hanumantha made of Panchaloha. The temple authorities had filed a complaint that idols worth Rs 6.8 lakhs were stolen.

The dog squad which was pressed into service took the cops towards the banks of the stream where the idols were found.
