Stabbing case victim Deeksha recovering
The condition of Deeksha, the 22 year old woman who was repeatedly stabbed by a youth at Bagambila near Derlakatte on June 28, has improved and she has been shifted to the ward from the ICU.
Sushanth(28) who had stabbed Deeksha multiple times and had later slit his threat has already recovered and is in judicial custody. Deeksha who is an MBA student in Karkala though was Sushanth’s friend, she had of late maintained a distance from the latter resulting in the incident.
Doctors attending on her said the stabbing had caused injury to her respiratory tract, chest, stomach and left shoulder. The timely surgeries done at the KS Hegde Charitable Hospital with the assistance and guidance of specialists from various departments has helped in saving her life. The hospital has also been generous enough to bear all her medical expenses.
