Bus conductors clash near Thokkottu junction; 2 arrested

Mangaluru, September 6, 2024: Police have arrested two persons in connection with a clash between the conductors of two buses near Thokkottu. The incident took place on Wednesday and the video of the same has gone viral on social media.

It is learnt the crew of a bus named Padma Travels operating on the Talapady-Mangaluru route and the crew of Asar Travels operating between Mangaluru and Hosangady Junction had clashed. The accused have been identified as Ajay and Vishnu.

It is learnt the bus driver of one bus had tried to overtake another bus operating on the Talapady -Mangaluru route and had obstructed its way near the over bridge bus stop. There was a fracas between the conductors of the two buses later on and this fracas ended in fist fighting.

Later local autorickshaw drivers intervened and pacified the two warring conductors.

A car passengers passing that way had videographed this incident which later became viral.

Ullal Police have registered a case.
