Bus passenger’s mobile phone falls on a car bonnet leading to serial car collision in B C Road

Mangaluru, February 27, 2025: A chain collision involving five vehicles occurred near BC Road Talapady after a passenger’s mobile phone fell from a bus onto a moving car, forcing the driver to brake suddenly.

Anita Maria Lobo, a resident of Kaikamba Chavadiguttu, was traveling from Farangipete to Kaikamba in her car on February 25 when the incident took place. As her car was moving near Talapady, a mobile phone accidentally fell from a bus onto her car’s bonnet, prompting her to apply sudden brakes.

This led to four other vehicles colliding from behind, causing damage to the cars.

A case has been registered at the Bantwal Traffic Police Station.
