C B Rishyanth appointed as Dakshina Kannada SP

Mangaluru, Jun 20, 2023: C B Rishyanth, a member of the 2013 IPS batch, has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) of Dakshina Kannada. He has taken over from Dr. Vikram Amate, who was temporarily filling the position due to medical leave.

 

Rishyanth’s appointment comes as part of a larger reshuffling of IPS officers across the state, with a total of 15 officers being transferred.

Previously, Rishyanth had served as the SP of Davanagere and had been stationed in Bengaluru leading up to the elections. He also has experience as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Dakshina Kannada, Mysuru, and Bagalkote.
