CAL platinum jubilee concludes ; Konkani play staged

Mangalore, Nov 29 : The Catholic Action League staged a Konkani drama " Ghatt Dar-Sodinaka"  at the St Sebastian Church premises, Bendur in the city on November 28, Saturday,  to mark the completion of its Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Fr Santhosh Rodrigues, Director, Family Life Center, Bajjodi, Mangalore inaugurated the  function held in this connection. In his address, Fr Rodrigues, congratulated the Catholic Action League for completing glorious 75 years and added the services of the League need to be appreciated by the society.The activities undertaken by the Catholic Action League also go a long way in preserving the rich culture and tradition, he observed.

Meanwhile, eminent Konkani playwrights, whose plays  have been staged in the annual functions of CAL, were felicitated Rev Fr Peter S Noronha. Winners of the games conducted by  CAL  were also awarded on the occasion.

Prof Eric Patrao, Jane Sequeira, Glen Rego and Glavian were present on the dais.
