CBI probe into Sowjanya case picks up

Belthangady, April 1, 2014: The CBI investigation into the Sowjanya rape and murder case  has picked up with even Central Intelligence Department officials joining the investigation team.

The CBI team is in Belthangady since the past one week. They have been joined by the Intelligence Department officials on March 31, Monday.

The investigation officials have also visited the residence of Mahesh Shetty Timarody, the President of Prajaprabhutva Vedike which had spear headed agitation demanding justice for Sowjanya.

It is learnt the investigation officials have gathered  certain information about the case from Mahesh Shetty.
