CM inaugurates Vishwakarma Sammelan organized by Vishwakarma Okkoota

Udupi, Feb 5, 2012: Chief Minister D. V. Sadananda Gowda inaugurated the district-level Vishwakarma Sammelana organized by Vishwakarma Okkoota as part of its silver jubilee celebrations on Feb 5 Sunday. 


In his inaugural address, the chief minister expressed his appreciation of the Vishwakarma community and said that they have developed a lot. He urged the community to realize its true worth, grab all the benefits that the government has offered to them, and prosper.

The members of the community also presented the CM a silver plaque with an image of his face, called Rajatodbhava CM. 


Swami Kalahastendra Saraswati of Anegundi Mutt in Katpady and Swami Gurushiva Sujnanamurthi of Aremadanahalli Mutt of Hassan were also present. 


Among the dignitaries present were District-in-charge Minister Krishna J. Palemar, State Labour and Silk Minister B. N. Bacche Gowda, BJP State President K. S. Eshwarappa, Congress State President Dr. G. Parameshwar, MLA Raghupathi Bhat, Honorary President of DK Vishwakarma Sabha P. L. Shubhakar Acharya, Vishwakarma Okkoota President Alevoor Yogish Acharya, and many others. 


The community leaders presented a memorandum to the CM on the occasion, in which they sought state benefits for the community.
