Cash, valuables worth Rs 20 lakh stolen in Sullia

Sullia, May 05, 2023: Cash and jewellery worth Rs 20 lakhs were stolen from the house of the former president of town panchayat, Shamsuddin on Wednesday.

 

Shamsuddin had been to Mangaluru, along with his family to attend a function and when they returned at around 9.45 pm, they found that the front door of the house was broken. Upon checking, the cupboard had been ransacked and valuables- 14 branded watches, 20 golden finger rings, three pendants, two diamond bracelets, one diamond chain and Rs 55,000 cash were found missing.

The total value of the stolen goods including cash is said to be Rs 20 lakh.

Police are investigating the case.
