Belthangady, Aug 10, 2018: A tempo in which stolen cows were crammed in a inhuman way, overturned near Arthil in Sonandur village near Madanthyar on August 9, Thursday when those in the vehicle tried to speed forth in a bid to escape from the cops who had signalled the vehicle to stop. However, all five persons in the vehicle have managed to flee. Police have rescued six cows and have seized the vehicle.
Sources said Arafa, Jainu alias Jainuddin of Ammemar along with three others were in the tempo. The police had signalled the tempo to stop near Guruvayanakere. However the accused fled at great speed even as the police chased them. Ultimately, Farooq who was driving the tempo lost control over the vehicle which eventually landed in a drain.
