Centenary Sharada Mahotsava of SVT, Carstreet ends with magnificent Shobha Yatra

Mangaluru, Oct 07, 2022: The centenary Sharada Mahotsava of the Sri Venkatramana Temple at Carstreet culminated with a grand Shobhayatra featuring the  beautiful idol of Goddess Sharada on October 6, Thursday night.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Earlier, Huli Vesha teams presented spectacular performance in the form of Seva  since Thursday morning at the Saraswathi Kala Mantap.

The Shobha Yatra  began after the  Mahamangalarathi. Along with the idol of Goddess Sharada there were several Tableaux and Huli Vesha teams that lent a special charm to the procession.

The procession which commenced from the temple passed through Mahamayee Temple, Manjeshwar Govind Pai Circle, New Chitra Talkies, Basavanagudi, Carstreet and culminated with the immersion of the idol of the Goddess in the lake of Mahamayee Temple.

Various religious rituals as well as  cultural events were held at the Shrine during Navaratri.  Ranga Pooja, Sahasra Chandika Mahayaga, Vidyarambha and other rituals were held.

The programmes were organised under the guidance of Sri Sharada Mahotsava Samithi Chief Dr Umananda Mallya, Secretary Adige Balakrishna Shenoy, Pandit Narasimha Acharya of Acharya Mutt,  Trustees of the Temple  Sahukar Kiran Pai, Satish Prabhu, Ganesh Kamath and others.
