Mangalore, Nov 20: A district-level science exhibition and children’s science convention was jointly organized by science and technology department of the state government, the Karnataka State Science Council of Bangalore, DK zilla panchayat public education department, and Pilikula Regional Science Centre, Mangalore at Pilikula Nisargadham.
District-in-charge Minister Krishna J. Palemar inaugurated the event and spoke on the importance of understanding biological diversity, global warming, and conservation of nature. Lauding the organizers of this convention, he urged them to organize many more such programmes in future.
Students of different schools in DK participated in this science convention. J. R. Lobo, the executive director of Pilikula Nisargadhama; K. Santhosh Kumar Bhandary, president of the zilla panchayat; MLA Abhayachandra Jain; and others were also present.
