Christmas celebrations with Bishop bring joy to St Anthony Homes inmates

Mangalore, Dec 23, 2012: It was a momentful day for the inmates of St Anthony Homes for the Poor at Jeppu on December 22, Saturday. Mangalore Bishop Rev. Fr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, visited the Home  to celebrate Christmas with the inmates and also bless the Crib prepared by them. The home has over 400 inmates.

Speaking  on the occasion, the Bishop exhorted the inmates to follow the path of Jesus who too lived in a small cowshed. He said the Mangalore Diocese  is celebrating Christmas with a  commitment to serve the poor and destitute in the society.
 

 

Kuswar, prizes and gifts were distributed to the inmates of the Ashram as part of Christmas celebrations. Fr Denis Prabhu, Director of St Anthony Home for the Poor, Fr George Crasta, Fr Francis D’Souza and others were present.

The inmates rendered Christmas carols. The Bishop also blessed the Medical Health Care Services and Rehabilitation Centre.
